There's a lot to celebrate in Lee's Summit this week — and not just because spring has finally decided to stick around. Downtown came alive this weekend with the Jazz Fest and Vintage Fair drawing crowds to Green Street, and the Mavericks are making some noise in the playoffs. We've also got a milestone bike ride returning for its 25th year, sponsored content from our friend Mike Maksin at Local Moves, and the usual roundup of what's happening around town. Let's get into it.

As with most things in our hometown, there's a little something for everyone happening all the time. A few things stick out to me this week as our family and friends make plans.
If you consider yourself a bit of a nerd and love trivia, you have to check out Big Ron's Pub Quiz happening from 7-9 Monday at The Goat Brewing Co. Ron Dyer runs a fun trivia game and the weekly action is home to some teams carrying the weight of useless (I mean great and important) knowledge.
I'm a sucker for Downtown Lee's Summit's Farmers Market and I'm loving it's new home on Green Street. The Market is currently running every Wednesday and Saturday. Let's all play a game of who's our favorite bread vendor at the market? I'd love to hear your answers, let us know here.
I don't get a chance to play the board games, or tabletop adventure games very often anymore, but I'm intrigued by the continual buildup of action at two local businesses in that space — Mindgames And Magic and Pulp Fiction. If you're a gamer, or a lover of comics, check out these shops and the many weekly events they host for patrons of all ages.
If you, or your organization, have an event you'd like listed in Lee's Summit's only community calendar reaching more than 20,000 people, just click here and hit the "CREATE AN EVENT" BUTTON.
