100+ attend candidate forum for Lee's Summit's mayor's race

When Link 2 Lee's Summit & and it's companion podcast, Lee's Summit Town Hall startup up 10 years ago, one of the initial goals was to highlight the importance of community involvemen — whether that was through one or more of our vital nonprofits or simply being a more informed voter. Last Thursday evening was a good example as more than 100 local residents attended Link 2 Lee's Summit's mayoral candidate forum at Bridge Space to hear from candidates Beto Lopez and Cynda Rader. As expected, much of the conversation focused on residential and commercial development in the City, as hosts Nick Parker and Jason Norbury worked through a series of questions designed to help voters get a better feel on the candidates' perspectives.
